Andy Murray battled back once again from a set back to grab the Japan Open title from the previous years champ Rafael Nadal.

This became Murrays 2nd championship successively following gaining the Thailand Open last week, and immediately after losing the first set 6-3 he won the subsequent and third sets 6-2 6-0.

The previous five encounters between the couple were won by Nadal, thus it should come as a large boost of self-assurance for the Scot prior to the Shanghai Masters event next week. With Federer and Djokovic omitting that tournament Murray as well as Nadal will certainly enter as the best 2 seeds.

Nadal was winning most of the rallies through the use of his forehand, while across the net Murray battled with his serve.
Murray was significantly better in the the next set because he started to hit the ball effectively and shift the Spaniard all over well. He broke Nadal inside game 4 and also game 8 to keep the advantage of serving first in the decider.

The last set was amazingly one sided as the Scot gave up a mere 4 points as he grabbed the set 6-0. It was subsequently Murrays 12th success consecutively and the trophy was his fourth event success of the season.

It carries on a worrying trend for Nadal because he has only collected 3 of his 10 finals in 2011 largely due to the dominance of Novak Djokovic.
